Default What tire pressure are you guys running?

Okay, so stock truck for the most part. Stock tire size with the 18s... Was cruising around on a rainy day with the dog and the tire pressure warning came on. Initially i thought oh, its getting cold, and they probably didn't use nitrogen in the tires. So I got out did a quick look check nothing looked low, and when I got home I put the tire pressure gauge on it, all 4 tires came consistently in between 26-28 PSI. Door panel says 35 PSI.

What are you guys running your stock tire pressure at? and at what level does the light typically come on?

35, just like it says. TPMS comes on at 25 percent below. It is for big leaks, not to monitor tire pressure. Check tires monthly with a gauge.

Just your basic good year wrangler's side wall says 51 max psi. Door jamb says 35 psi. Only got the truck 2 months ago, so I'm still getting used to where everything should be at mechanically. Haven't even made the first oil change on it yet.

You are running them low. If you run stock then set it for the door jamb. That is the safest setup. I run 44 in my front and 40 in the rear (based on testing) and got 65K+ out of my last set of ATs (Nitto Terra Grappler 295x70r18s). After chalk testing my new tires came in real close to the same pressure and are running great in the same area.

I have 285/75r18 Terra Grapplers on mine and run them between 38-40 psi. Anything higher and it rides rough.
