The torque down low is key. No the eco diesel is a joke, 240 HP lol.

Actually yeah, yeah it can, my 6.2 4x4 Limited Super Crew does 0-60 in 6 sec flat. Bone stock.

I have to say some of you guys responses are pretty funny. Nothing like some good ball breaking. Seriously though, I'm not arguing the power of the Eco down low or the power curve or how advanced it is. What I'm saying is this, when I bought my truck my dealer didn't have the options I wanted and had to swap. I didn't care which engine I ended up with because after driving both I REALLY didn't feel any difference. Maybe my butt dyno is broken but I didn't notice the echo being faster. I wasn't pushed back into my seat. I was calling BS on the guys who claim there's such a noticeable difference.

Stock vs stock there isn't a huge difference. Put a tuner on each one and there is a huge difference.

But to a more important issue, zx12-Iowa, can you provide the rest of the lyrics? I sing that to my 1 year old during bath time, but I cannot remember any other lyrics than that!

Now bath time with rock!

This debate will never end, but all I will say is put a programmer on both and drive them. I'm a 5.0 and willing to admit that a tuned Eco will flat out haul ***. Granted I still couldn't live with myself everyday waking up knowing my truck had a v6 in it.

As far as the Eco being the "king of trucks" I think that's a bold statement to say the least. I was pulling 1.7 60' times in my stroke with a programmer. No way is an Eco a 12's truck all day long.

It should be YOU'RE a bum.....but bobkyle is one of the good guys here and is one of the mods who has a very hard job keeping this forum from flaming out in response to trolls.
There is one poster here in particular who keeps posting inflammatory opinions on the EB, and then takes it personally when he gets taken to account here publicly. He has used four or five different user names (you know who you are) because his behavior never meets forum standards.....which are high AND which I agree with.................OK...that should have been "with which I agree." Fair is fair when it comes to correcting spelling and grammar.

Hey Duck..... If you are a troll, I'd say you made a good strike. Cuz look at the fur fly. Lol. This has been a hoot.
That said. One of my sons has a 2012 screw with a 5.0 , loves it. I have a 2013 screw with an ecoboost and I also like my purchase.
One the road, he likes the way his drives. I like the way mine drives. I'm a former diesel guy.
Neither one of us is stupid enough the take our 50k trucks down a drag strip cuz when you do, No insurance. Street racing is just a fools party anyway.
These threads always go this way. It's funny to see how personal some will make the argument.
What fun.

F150s are great, all the engines have their merits- otherwise Ford would only offer one. So, how 'bout big group hug?
