I think I finally like my truck.
The gas mileage is still the worst of any truck I've ever owned, the steering is still too vague at times, and the transmission is still schizophrenic in normal daily driving conditions...
But that bitch can TOW! Finally towed with it for the first time last night. In "Tow/Haul" mode it's a totally different animal. The transmission actually acts like it should, the throttle feels more precise, and towing two full pallets of blow-in insulation? Not a problem at all.
I still may not love it as a daily driver, but when it comes time to work? It's ready!

Worst mileage? Man, mine is the best I have seen from a truck (17-20 depending my my habits that tank). How many miles? Mine sucked until around 5K when it broke in.
Happy trails!

No I was genuinely serious. I'm new the the forum.. I just bought my first F150 not to long ago... I wasn't aware of the issues with the new F150. However it makes sense with it being the first model of the newer style. By the 2016-2017 I'd think a lot of the issues will be resolved.
Yes, I can never understand why people feel like they HAVE to buy the first year of the new generations, but I guess someone has to so there will be used trucks for sale lol.

11,450 miles this morning, I have to keep it under 60-65mph at all times to even get to 17.9-18.0 on the lie-o-meter, which will usually be somewhere between 17.8-18.3 hand-calculated after. I was at 20mpg+ with my 4.7L Ram at higher speeds (65-70mph) and 19+ in my 4.8L GMC. I have no idea what my towing MPG was, it was only about 20 miles of the most recent tank, but 15.5mpg, which is about my average with it (usually at 65-70mph), was the overall result hand-calculated, with the lie-o-meter showing 15.3mpg. (Here comes the "shoulda-boughta-Prius" brigade!)

Granted that was all highway miles, sticking to the speed limit. two tanks (20gal), hand calculated at 45.6. Oh! and the transmission is still a POS
