I've got a '10 and remember driving 2 EcoBoosts; one was "wow" and the other a dog. Both similarly equipped too. Red flag for me because the difference was severe. At 1st I was "wowed", but I'm thinking now I'm leaning more towards the good ol' V8 5.0.

I'm reading of condensation / misfire issues in the turbos (Ford is working on a fix now), coil pack issues, plus inconsistent mileage readings well below Ford's claims.

Happy to hear that you guys are happy with the 5.0. 360 hp and 20mpg is more than good. I can do that, but with 68 hp less!

I have been unsure what motor to choose myself.I am going from a 10 yr. old 4 door toyota with 98k and not one single issue in 10 yrs.I would really like the EB but I cant take the chance of getting that dog..

Same here, I sometime wonder whether I would have liked an EB as much. But getting one of the problem ones was not worth the chance. No regrets but an occasional wonder.
