I'll post a video later. I'm definitely not overly sensitive to it, I've been driving modified cars and trucks for almost 20 years now and know what to expect. Yes, I'm older and fussier when it comes to cars, gone are the days I'm willing to climb over a 6 point cage to get in my daily driver. But this is something different. This truck rides rougher than my friends 2500 Chevy (and those ride like crap) and my fathers 2017 F250. It bucks and bounces, and I've lost all ability to tow because of how bad it shakes.

I would put a set of stock tires on first, and see how it rides for comparison before buying new tires. You might have to play with preload on the coilovers. And I think the Fox shocks are rough for street use vs my Icon set I had. But thats the difference in valving between them.

Try the stock tire set up, you might have to barrow a set. But that will tell you how much of it is the tires and how muck of it is the shocks being used. Also have you broke in the shocks? If not go find an area where you can hit some good rollers and compress the shocks, and do that a few times at speed.

But your truck should not be as rough as you describe. My truck lifted on load range E tires, still rides better then a 3/4-1 ton truck. And really not a whole lot stiffer them my friends stock 2015 F150.

Mike- Did you leave the fox coil overs as they shipped em to you or crank them more? I just put a set on for lifted trucks to eliminate my spacer and it rides great... I have E rated 35inch toyo rts. Also running the fox shocks in rear with resi's. They made the most difference of anything.

Unfortunately, there are some here who may ride in your truck and tell you that the ride is just fine. Others may tell you that you're 100% right, and it's ridiculously harsh. None of us can know that.

Based on that, I can only offer this. I had leveled my truck and put on some Nitto Terra Grappler 275/65R20 (E rated with max of 80 PSI). I had them at about 38-40 PSI, and they still rode a bit harsh, but not to the point of ridiculousness ... not the way you express your ride is. But, they were way rougher than stock.

I eventually changed to Cooper STT Pro 295/60R20's, which are also E rated (not sure of max PSI). These are a true mud tire, BUT they are MUCH softer feeling than the Nittos were. I don't know if that's just because Cooper figured out how to make the tire softer riding while keeping the E rating ... or if it's due to the wider tire ... or whatever. I know that I run them at about 38 PSI (same as the Nittos), so it's not a PSI thing.

Now, my truck still rides more harsh than when I had stock P rated tires ... but it's not "bad". It's enough that sometimes I think about how nice it would be if the ride was like stock, but I've weighed the option of ride vs. tires, and like my truck like it is, and sacrifice some "ride quality".

I hope you're not just overly sensitive to the ride quality, because if you are, chances are you're going to have to sacrifice "the look" for the ride quality. Only you can make that decision.

Getting into something I'm not sure of here ... but perhaps your preferred option would be to get springs that are much softer to compensate for the harsh ride, but then you'd sacrifice payload and (potentially) towing capacity. But if that works for you, it may be your only option to keep "the look" AND "ride quality". You may not need the payload/towing. Again, that's something only you can decide.
Interesting.

I'm more than happy with my Cooper Discoverer STTs (From before they went Pro!)
I wasn't going to suggest them, since they are a load range E tire, but they are great.

Since my last post I have put on a set of Fox 2.0 front coilovers.

I don't have a problem with it riding rough. I can sip my coffee when driving to work in the morning, for example, without worrying about it splashing and spilling. Just this morning I brought my coffee out, in a regular coffee mug even, and set it on the center console for part of the drive unattended. Not when taking corners, but when just driving down the highway.

I doubt you'll go with the STTs, since they are load range E, but I can't say enough good things about them

I left them alone, I will play with the settings but the rears where the most bouncing is are not adjustable. I let some more air out of the tires tonight, running 35PSI front and rear. I'm going to do the chalk test and see if I can let some more air out, as dropping it from 40 to 35 made a noticeable difference.
