Default I need help from a Ford rep on here ASAP PLEASE!!!

U had my rear siding window w/defrost shatter on me and had actually burned a spot in the window, ford said the will only cover half and nation wide extended warrenty said the will not cover it even though I paid $2000 for the bumper to bumper extended warrenty.
I wouldn't care if I had to pay if the window just shattered but it caught fire and my son could have been back there.
It seems like it's a money issue with ford and not a safety issue.
This is happening a lot and needs to be addressed as a recall.
Does anyone know the names of the reps on here that help under situations like this?
One is Crystal I beleive.

I'm not defending Ford here, but ALL the warranty's( reg. & extended) CLEARLY state damage to glass isn't covered. Anytime they choose to cover it, it's nothing more than a courtesy. For whatever reason, you have made them feel like your situation is a case they're not interested in getting involved in. I feel for you but, well, unless you want to lawyer-up(over 1200 bucks?Really?) I think you are out of options.

It wasn't the glass that causes the problem, something shorted out.

This clearly wasn't a glass problem, something shorted out.

This has happened a lot and unfortunately I think the only way Ford will address the issue is when they get sued because somebody's kid got hurt. There is obviously a problem with some of these windows.

That's the problem my son was sitting there when it broke, it's didn't hurt him but the poison caused from burning plastic and rubber, not to mention if the window did explode it would have bee towards the back of his little head.

Here again, I'm not defending Ford or anyone else, but these windows have been in the hands of consumers since late 2008. Don't you think Ford bean counters have ordered internal investigations as to their liability exposure? Considering for quite some time these trucks went out the door at the rate of one every 43 seconds, what is the actual percentage of windows that have had a problem vs. overall production totals? What percentage of those failed while under the 3/36 blanket? What percentage failed due to the way they were used? If I remember correctly, the OP bought his truck used- Even IF he was talked into the "factory" warranty extension, that is offered by a LLC subdivision of FOMOCO. Bottom line: When Ford say too bad, it s_cks to be you. Your chances of getting money out them is pretty weak. Long story short: these are not the greatest trucks ever made- they are(currently) the lesser of the evils. Next year it might be GM or (ugh) Ram.
