Default "I need to borrow your truck."

Heck no!!!! Wtf is up with this people? Fellow f150 truck owners, explain to my why in the hell people think truck owners are a free U-Haul.

I have invested way to much time and money in my truck, not to mention the ungodly monthly payments, to just let some one borrow it to move their crap.

Then they scratch it and treat it like garbage because they don't feel like paying $20 at U-Haul for a P/U.

Has anyone ever asked to borrow anyones Prius because they have to go on s long trip?

My freaking inlaws and other family are obsessed with driving my truck and constantly want to borrow it. I say no every time.

What do you guys think? Am I being an ***?

Next time someone asks to borrow your truck ask them if you can borrow their girlfriend/wife. You'll fill 'er up when you are done.

I have no issues helping someone move something with my truck, part of being a good friend.

back when i first came to Canada, my wife and I had no family and only a few friends here, so let me tell you we were happy when this friend of us borrowed a truck from HIS friend to help US move.
now i feel that the least i can do is help others with my truck when i can.

of course you dont realize that until you are in need yourself...

I never loan my truck out. I may offer to help move with my truck but thats it. They need a truck they can buy a truck.

Default I dont have a problem

with someone borrowing my truck to help with their project, as long as they dont mind me coming along to drive and surpervise (and help too) but not come by and get my truck for the day. Nope.

There is a BIG difference between helping someone move and someone using and driving your vehicle. I don't use other peoples stuff nor do I let them use mine. It is usually the fastest means in which to end a friendship.

i will help someone move. but there are only a few good friends of mine that i would let borrow my truck without me there. and that's because i know they wouldn't hurt it.
