Still no one has tried this guys? I looked at the connection on the bottom of my xlt seat and the bottom of the platinum seat the connectors are the same.. I know not everything on the seat would work I just want the AC seats. I know I would have to add a switch to turn on and off the AC seat but that's got to be pretty easy right?

I don't think it is as easy as just putting a toggle switch in.

I have heated/cooled seats in my truck, you would need the HVAC controller from a truck with automatic dual zone climate control, obviously that wouldn't work in your XLT as you have the manual system. Besides that there are fualt sensors in the seats that send signals to the body control module......which, again, is different in your truck.

I guess everything is possible but some modifications are just cost prohibitive.

Same connectors doesn't mean the same pin pattern. considering Platinum seats have: fully automatic controls, heated option, A/C seats, airbags, the XLT is not equipped with those, the connecters should connect but doesn't mean you'll have all of those functions.
You'll also need to swap out the climate control with one from a platinum as the seat and climate will be controlled through that, which could possibly work but then again it's trial and error, you'll need to test the controls once you get them all connected.

ill chime in as a couples years ago I was in this boat and there wasn't much info available, yes you can put them in, yes this can be plug and play but it will cost a lot or not much at all depending where you shop for parts. best thing to do would be to get a high trim dash and console from the same year truck as what you have complete with wiring and the floor harness complete maybe even dual climate HVAC box as well, swap it all out and put the new stuff in, you may need to run one wire from the connectors behind the glove box to the main fuse box at the rad support for heated seat. basically a full interior swap, for the most part plug and play. or you just wire up a toggle switches, I believe all said and done with my swap it cost 1800$ Canadian in used parts and 2-3 days with some diagnostics as I went with 13/14 wiring and my truck is a 2012 so some big differences
