Default I have a Question?

I have a 2010 scab XLT, 5.4. The other day I pulled the trim piece off where the break controller would go and noticed a smaller plug that was attached to the back of the coin holder. Does anyone know what accessory that plug would go too.

it goes to the brake controller. they just insert it into the back ofthe coin holder when there is no brake controller present.

Back of the coin holder is the 4 wheel drive switch wiring isnt it? Theres a guy on here with a 2 wheel drive that put the switch in there just to put it there.

The brake controler connector is either pluged into the back of the cubby hole below the coin holder if your lucky or down there somewhere Theres a good write up on here do a search.

Yes, I agree with you.

Right behind that cubbyhole is the plug for the Mode Select Switch (MSS) a.k.a. the 4 wheel drive thing. Further down below in the dash is the Trailer Brake Control Module (TBC) plug.

Many plugs, connections and harnesses are present even in vehicles that are not equipped to fully use them. The road to nowhere. The plug to nowhere.
