I think all the other Eco boost engine have no issues the only real issue I've seen coming out of the f150 EB is that the inter cooler is too effiecient... Doesn't sound like a problem but tends to be for some... They are great motors... As are the 5.0's... Really tired of these bashing post I love my 5.0 and I'm positive it and the EB will be here for awhile... Why would they put direct injection bosses in the heads for future improvements if it was something that was just going to get scrapped?
It is not the 5.0/ Eco bashing as much as it is the ignorant statements that are predominantly made by the 5.0 crowd! I think Ford has done a good job of covering the various needs and preferences for the market. But for people to come in here and act like the Eco is some sort of voodoo magic are ill informed. Turbo gas engines are nothing new, Subaru for one has had very good success in that market. Direct injection is nothing new either. The BMW 3 series, for one, is a direct injected turbo motor. I doubt that 25% of the public realizes how much turbo technology is on the road. So yes, I see direct injection/turbo engine the way of the future. So, are the 5.0 die hards going to have a melt down when the voodoo magic makes it to the 5.0?

I hear ya. I've hauled all my stuff with them both and they do it ok. Honestly, we have a big enclosed race car trailer with carts, generators, tires, drill press, etc. Personally, I wouldn't haul much more than that with a half ton. A good side wind still moves the truck around more than I really like for it to. Maybe that's because I spent so much time towing it with my prior diesel?

If I pulled much more than I do, then I would have a diesel. If I mostly wanted a driver and occasionally tow, then I would have a 5.0. If I had money to burn, I would have a Raptor and a diesel. So at the end of the day, I think Ford has done a much better job than the competitors to cover a larger market base!

Which is why I said I think... Guess they all have lil bugs... But that's what a warranty is for an your always gonna take the chance of buying a lemon no matter what engine you get... And as far as picking on the "5.0 crowd" you Eco boys do the same nethier side is innocent an i for one choose to stay out of the insulting you won't find me saying anything incorrect or bad about ethier engine... Unless its true... Like that the Eco has limp mode issues and the 5.0's burn oil and have #8 cylinder issues

But, they do catch on fire and burn up pretty nicely. Just had a major recall for gas tank issues I think. Google it.

We are done here.
We are also on a mission to get rid of all the trolls in the eco vs 5.0. So if you are attacking another member, Or his engine. Your going to get hammered.
I'm a moderator on a few other forums. And i've been on forums for many years, I've never seen a forums members attack each other on a daily basis. All day every day.
Soooooo, In conclusion............ I don't care who you are,what you are doing, If you sound like a dick towards a member of this forum OR THERE BELOVED engine. You're gone.
First offense is usually 24 hours.
