Well, I have a 2013 xlt and it is by far the most uncomfortable seat I've ever sat in!!! And this says a lot after spending 10 years driving thousands of miles in military trucks!....lol. I'm gonna have to take my truck to an upholstery shop to get the seat reworked. I'm still dealing with the dealership over it....doubt I'll get anywhere. I can ride in it for about 25 minutes pain free. I never had back problems. I'm 5'7" and 175 lbs.....not a "big" guy.

I think my seats are more comfy than the Wifes MkX but I have cloth. Never have liked leather.

Well, huh. Not sure what it is then cause you're normal size. Not to insult your intelligence, but have you played around with the lumbar support? I don't know what else it could possibly be.

My 2012 Lariat seats are among the most comfortable I've ever had including some high end Racaro's! GREAT SEATS at least for me……….

Does the XLT have different seats then the Lariat or FX4?

Lol...fair question.

Yes, I've literally tried every possible seating combination at this point. This has been going on since new...3 months ago (3,200 miles). I commute 2 hrs each day, so u can see what a pain in the ***** it has been.....literally!

I'm not enjoying the Ford F150 experience and trust me, I'm really trying to!

Well, I'm stumped! I think it may just be a freak combination of how the seat is made and your height, steering wheel position, etc.? I make two hour straight drives pretty frequently, from Houston to College Station and back, and my back always hurts at least midway through. But I have 3 compressed and dehydrated disks in my T5-8 between my shoulder blades, so having my arms extended hurts, and then my lower back ain't always peachy either. And my truck is 7/8 years old now too, not 3 months!

My wife is around 5 foot tall, in order for her knees to bend at the front edge of the seat in the XLT, her back was not to the backrest. In the FX4 she can sit back properly, so the seat base is shorter in the bucket seats. \plus the XLT seats have a flatter cushion, limited side bolstering and poor lumbar support.
The ten way adjustables are awesome, wish I could have afforded the extra $5000, \i'm only 5' 8" and the XLT seats were borderline horrible to me also.
Now we just did a cross country and the base fx4 seats were wonderful, not as wonderful as heated ten ways, but very good for an extended trip

Same bucket seats, only difference is partial power seat vs. Full power! Ive ridden in my xlt up to 4 hrs one way, and was not uncomfortable or achy in any way!
