You aren't going to fool anybody on this forum with that picture.

I have over 15k miles on the truck, I have a good sense of my fuel economy. I posted this somewhat as a joke. Though it was no "snapshot" of the truck rolling down the hill and resetting it quick. As you can see I was at 1800 rpm running 70 mph and the instant mpg was showing over 30mpg. It was a total trip of just over an hour and I ended up getting just over 28 mpg average.

I average 15-16 in town and 19-20 highway. The other day I was pretty impressed with a side wind of 35 mph going on the interstate at 75 and getting 17.5.

Joke indeed, and you were busted! LOL

Here are some of the QUAD TRIP screens that show some results ECOBOOST users are getting.... (from ecoboost thread). I'm more inclined to believe these.

Do NOT let people who can't get those mpg figures dilute your enthusiasm. Numbers like that are not all that rare, but seems that if you've bested someone at something they won't like it and talk bad about you.

Good on ya!

Some one has a stick where the sun don't shine. Eh, Greg ?

Don't worry op , people get mad at others because they can't tell the difference between a joke and a jack wagon trolling the forums.

That's their problem.

Just in case anyone is wondering. I'm only messin with ya Greg.

I believe you, joke or not...because I get the same in my truck. Consistently 19-22 on the highway, and my lifetime was 19.5 for 30K miles until it accidentally got reset this last oil change, now I'm sitting at 18.7 for the last 3K miles.

i got those numbers with my 5.0 the other day ... but like you with a 35-45 mph tail wind (on level interstate)

these days i'm just glad it's running again though .... glad I got a standard dash instead of the computer one, i'd go crazy with all those options and doodads

I get 99 mpg on my 09 Silverado but only for short bursts when coasting.
