Default I can get 24 mpg or 12 mpg with my Ecoboost, my choice!

Anyone else here just sometimes say to themselves.....the HECK with it, on THIS tankful, I am going to have fun! Feeling the EB push you back in the seat, or pulling onto the freeway, and you leave your foot in it for that last shift at 80 mph. Or power braking it, and breaking the tires loose so easily as you leave a couple of lights or stop signs......and seeing the tank average at maybe 12 .....

Then there are alway days like today.....we filled up with 87 octane Chevron about 15 miles from home. Reset the dash mpg as we left the station and drove it easily in stop and go traffic, coasted up to lights, and as we pulled into the driveway, the dash read 22.9 mpg. What a great truck!

You were still getting 12 mpg!? You must have not been flogging it hard enough.

ROFLMAO.....good one!......there's always the driving between the stop signs and the driving on the freeway that keeps it in at least double digits!

I can do the same with a 5.0. When I was racing my brothers ecoboost I averaged from putting fuel in, to the airstrip, and getting home was 9.9mpg on the dash lol.

Nice post. I was surprised when I took my R6 to the track, it got 17mpg. I didn't know a 600 could use that much gas, I was really flogging it. Such fun.

I NEED the Eb in my next truck. Had an '88 Mazda 323GT with a 1.6 L 4 banger, turbo, intercooler, 16v & DOHC...decent MPG day to day, but milage dropped when you mashed the gas pedal. Had some fun depleting the fossil suel stockpile. I'm sure an F150/EB will be the same!

I can get 16 mpg or 16 mpg in my EcoBoost. Truck's choice, not mine as no matter how I drive it, I get 16 mpg.

I know the feeling... 2009 F150 4X4 5.4, I get 14 MPG no matter what I do, I can baby it, or smash it, next tank full it's 14 MPG. Maybe the calculator I use to do the calculations is broken...

I don't have the ecoboost but I have the 3.7. If any of you have driven one, you would know how fun it is with it being a high revving engine and sounding as good as it does. I really don't care about mpg anymore. I do get good mpg, only because I'm not an aggressive driver. But sometimes I like to have some fun. Then I end up with a 14 mpg average.
