I bought a truck because I need one to haul my gear for hunting, scuba diving, etc. I've always been an outdoorsman and couldn't live without a truck. I chose an F150 this time because it was the only half ton which offered a 6.5 bed with a crew cab.

Got mine because of the good price with the rebates and also I've owned 2 other ford trucks before. Also I grew up in Texas and ford trucks are kings in that area.

Ha ha, my 2000 Ranger had 140k on it, no complaints other than a cracked head (3.0). Replaced both without issue. I just wanted a bigger truck, and yes, MPG is about the same as my 5.4. I almost bought a Fusion but couldn't see not having a truck in the fleet. The wife's Freestar is due to be replaced, maybe a Fusion? Or an Edge? Possible a used Outback...time will tell.

Had an '11 SCAB XLT with a 3.7, did a road trip with my son and grandmother, across Texas and Oklahoma. Needless to say it was a tight fit. So the day after we got back home went to the dealer and traded for a '12 SCREW XLT 4x4 with the 5.0. Very happy with the new truck, will be keeping it for a while.

My 2006 F250 was killing me! New this and that last January for $10,000. Got it running and dumped it. Went to get a Dodge but fell in love with the F150.

1) The King Ranch is nicer than a Cadillac on the inside in my opinion and I've always wanted one.

2) With a camper shell, it's basically a big Expedition. I can take my family across the country if necessary and we will all be comfortable.

3) I was tired of driving a 1-Ton dually.

4) I simply wanted it.

I've always been a GM guy. Just never had any problems with them so why change.
My wife bought a 12 Focus and I liked enough to buy one myself. (Ford growing on me)
My current ride is a 08 Sierra which I took into the Ford/Chevy dealer to get inspected.
There on the lot I saw a 13 FX4 with the body graphics in Sterling Grey and I was hooked.
When I bought my Sierra I had a great deal because, at that time it was when you could not give them away due to the gas prices. But it did not have all the things I really wanted in my truck.
The Ford dealer gave me a deal on my trade that I could not refuse so I ordered a new F150

Ford is the only 1/2 ton with a crew cab and 6.5' bed. End of story for me.

Because of my kid. Some regrets but I overall like the truck.
