I bought a 2014 FX4 EB and I HATE it!

You will have to ask someone smarter than me that question. I had that question and somebody told me they were for hormonics. But if there is something that moves in ther and is loose it could be our answer. Maybe I will try taking it off and see what happens.

jack, I started to answer your questions one by one, but the answers to all your questions, and comments have already been addressed in my previous posts.
If this entertains you, great. If you don't have anything useful to say, just read, and keep your mouth shut. This isn't funny to me. Unless you've ridden in my truck, you really don't have any idea what it's like. Hell, you might be used to driving worn out ****ty trucks that shake all the time, and you've grown accustomed to it. I don't drive crappy trucks and know that this is NOT normal for a new truck.

It is very easy to write it off as 'dude, it's a truck, and it's supposed to ride like one.' Yeah, no kidding; I am indeed aware it's a truck. Pretty sure TexasTaxi and a WHOLE bunch of other people are aware that F150's are trucks.
I'm an IT guy with plenty of troubleshooting experience in general and I've found that most of it (at least the basic procedures) carry over to any other industry. That being said....while I can find tons of detractors telling me "LOL it's a truck it rides like one...." I can't find ONE detractor thus far who has been able to explain to me why it is that EVERY other truck I've owned - from the 1995 F250 to the 2000 Chevy S10 (yeah, I know) to the 2002 Dodge Dakota (yeah, I know again) to the 2002 Ram 1500 (ok OK, already LOL) to the 2004 F150 STX - has NEVER had the vibration/shifting issues that my 2013 F150 XLT does. (And for the record, all of the other trucks I've owned have had a LOWER combination package - this one's supposedly the nicest/most richly appointed truck I've owned.)
Does this means it's not reliable? Not necessarily. But when you've driven your truck 22K miles and
- it vibrates at any speed above about 20 mph (bad enough above 70mph to make you think you've got a flat, a severely unbalanced tire, etc.)
- the driver's seat squeaks anytime you move (and I'm not the heaviest guy at all)
- it lugs like crazy in 5th or 6th gear
- shifts oddly into 4th gear (with some of them feeling like it slipped a gear)
and it spends 99.9% of its time on pavement....that tells me it's time to pursue first warranty services, then a truck replacement if they can't fix it, and then a lemon law proceeding if they refuse to help me there.
I'm pretty confident my dealership will make it right eventually; we shall see. In the meantime, a one-year-old truck with 22K miles that has been babied should not be acting as mine is, and as many others' are.

Manuel, I live on the west side of Houston. The first trip it took (the day after I bought it) was to Pearsall Texas. That's 250 miles, one way. Three major highways and some county roads, along the route. I didn't find a smooth patch of road anywhere in those 250 miles.
Admittedly, Houston's roads aren't the best, but there are some smooth ones. I've driven the same roads in my wife's Yukon, many times. Those same roads in my truck are horrible.
I wish I could write it off as the roads, but that's not the case.
Kung, good luck with yours ... I didn't realize you were having that many issues.

"We already know if you buy a computer or TV and it has four or five issues, you'll demand service or a replacement...so why, if you are paying thousands of dollars more for a truck you use EVERY day, are you not doing the same thing with your truck?"
It kinda floored me a bit...but he was/is right. I'm sure I could drive it for a decade or more and it'd work fine for the most part...but should I have to put up with these issues, especially if I believe some may lead to repairs in the future? No way.

This is a quote from a few posts previously that I directed to TexasTaxi:
"get rid of the truck, get a lawyer, use the lemon laws, get the regional rep down there to drive the truck, get the big shots in Detroit involved. The Truck is under warranty yet you continue to try all these various long shots at fixing it on your own -- Why ?"
Also in previous threads I have mentioned the same advise over and over !
Then you attacked me for pointing the obvious ! Now your own Father is giving you the exact same advise I and others have been trying to tell both of you and you act like this is the first time you ever heard such an idea. Unbelievable !!
I and others on this site have said over and over and over !! GET A LAWYER.
Damn -- glad your Father finally knocked some sense into you.

First, as a bulletin board administrator for going on 20 years now, I'm pretty sure that telling someone to butt out or stop being a jerk isn't an attack. LOL
Second, no, my father's NOT giving me the exact same advice. You seem to advise an immediate escalation to litigation, where that be hiring a lawyer, lemon law litigation, etc. My father, on the other hand, simply and essentially told me "Stop trying to justify issues by saying vehicles will have issues..you paid $$ for this, and you'd d*mn sure be upset if your $500 TV had multiple issues....so yes, you're justified in being upset if your $24K truck has them."
Third, I've never known ANYONE to have issues with their vehicles who was successful in getting it bought back, or successful in pursuing lemon law litigation, WITHOUT going through the whole process of bringing it in 3 times within a certain time period for each issue, etc. YES, if they can't or won't resolve the issues, I'll pursue it as you and MANY others have suggested, but not before going through the normal procedures.
Fourth, regardless of HOW good your advice is, you hide it within posts like these:
I am not wasting my time reading this as much as you are wasting your time trying to mix your muffler bearing with your bucket of steam. Your frustration is much different than my entertainment. As far as me going to **** myself -- well you my friend seem to be the pro at that
By the way - you will find that cheese and crackers go great with whine.
OMG !! I love following this tread --- it is comedy at it's finest. I can't wait until this guy starts complaining about the muffler bearing making a grinding noise. Maybe he'll rip his whole truck apart looking for that noise. He states that "I'm willing to look at anything, at this point." Really ? My gut says that if the problem were as bad and obvious as stated that it would have been detected by now. Certainly he would have gotten legal representation !
Nope -- just fishing
I got an idea for you. Go park the truck in Michigan and catch a flight home.

NOW...let's get back to the subject at hand instead of wasting time on arguing. Feel free to post regarding this, or not; not worth prolonging after that.

Where I live, tact and courtesy go a long way. Try them; if you don't, then don't expect people to take seriously, or care about, your opinions.
