I now have sync voice calls and phone working. I can't get the my gpsm to work, also getting navigation fault error for SD A6. I have MS CAN wired correctly, but can seem to get it to function correctly on my sync 2..

So I completed the 4" to 8" Sync 3 upgrade on my XLT. I could not find the dash bezel with manual controls anywhere. So I opted to purchase the 4D Tech upgrade kit. It was a bit expensive but it was worth it as I do consider my time valuable as well. The install took about an hour and a half and went exactly like their install video. Everything works flawlessly.. no complaints! I took pictures of all the parts in hope that the part numbers might help someone going the DIY route. I've read over this thread multiple times and I'm still stuck on a few things I'm currently working on a 2015 explorer going from 4.2 to 8" I have posted on other threads in different forums and nobody can seem to or want to help . All radio functions work propperly. But no hvac parts work. I was told on the fusion forum my apim needs programmed to my vins specific features and functions so I changed blocks 7d0 01 01.. 02 01.. And 03 01. To my oem numbers. Still none works. In the explorer the bezel is completely different and only has a few functions . All hvac is touch screen... so its important to get it working. I've gone into my eatc
Module and made sure it was set to apim gen 2. Which is what my apim is. I'm quite lost ... And could use a little help on this

Do you have the upgraded harness or the made the harness additions for the 8" screen?

I would check out this info and see if your APIM matches those options
I actually have the entire dash and harness from the parts vehicle I'm using the entire harness from the bcm for the 8" mft... .
As for the site listed above I've cross referenced all the numbers. But some of mine don't match up. I've put my apim ones in and edited a few numbers to get HD RADIO rear hvac. Manual air and heated seats. All those items display but you cannot select any items. In the hvac. All radio functions work p ropperly. As for the hvac module there is a selection for apim type. According to that chart the options are 2 or 6... my factory one is a 7... Which is throwing me all off. Thinking that may be it... or if there is possibly a code in the bcm for what type of apim the vehicle has..?

My suggestion would be to find a vin for a 15 explorer very similar to yours that came from factory with the MFT system and use that to program your new setup. Use cars.com or autotrader to find one.
