I had a question for all of the MFT and Sync3 users. I seem to recall when I had a rental vehicle with the 8" MFT system, that multiple BT sources could be added and you could choose between them.

I'm curious if you can do the same with Sync3. I know you can do CarPlay, but I'm curious if multiple BT sources (my daughter's phones for example) could be added. It would make it much easier to let them play their music without having to hand them my phone.

How long are you leaving it on before you turn it back off? Sometimes it takes 10-20 seconds to turn on for regularly scheduled maintenance.

Hi, finally receive the rest of the parts to make the wirinng harness, in post 36 I can see that there is some pins that are cut or remove from the 1924342-1 connector.
If they are remove, how to do this.

Another question about pin 5 and 6 going to 12 and 13 and a few lines below we can find them and with my understanding it's about the same thing, would you please sort this out for me
Thank you

You can stick one in there from the side you're looking at in the picture. Snug fit but it works great. Not sure of the part number, but It was being discussed earlier in the thread by me and OP.

Hi if I'm not mistaken the part you are trying to explain is the Mauser part #571-1924968-4 but what I'm trying to do is removing the pins that is not needed for Sync3. If you think that I'm not on the right track, don't hesitate.
By the way can you explain my second question about the pins 5 and 6 going to 12 and 13
Thank you

Ok. Yeah, you can just pull them right out the back side of the connector. As the mic wiring, it's just redundant.

OK so I got my dash torn apart and have the Sync 3 system connected to my car and it's working for the most part. However, my mounts don't hook up to the new screen. Apparently there is a Sync 3 recessed mount screen but I'd rather not do that. Can anyone confirm that modifying the old harness to work with the screen actually works? It looks like to me that it would be too wide, unless the new screen is slightly narrower. Let me know because right now the only recessed mount screen I can find is on 4dtech for $799 (!!!)
