In the end, everything worked with the exception of the "dual zone" function and of course the heated and cooled seats. My basic 2016 didn't have any of this so I was never expecting that to work.
I paid $250 for the 2015 Lariat MFT setup from a recycler. I sold the screen and MFT APIM for $200. I paid around a grand for the Sync 3 w/Nav (Screen and APIM). I would guess around $100 for misc. supplies to build the harness, download the wiring schematics from Ford plus purchase a backup camera. I didn't use the Ford camera as the wiring was too complicated and expensive. I bought a cheap $18 dollar camera on EBay which works great.
I still have the 2015 ACM and the original My Ford 4" screen and APIM and bezel. I built the harness so I could easily change the system back to the as-built specs should I have a need to do so. (Never know) So I would expect to spend around $1100 to $1200 by the time your finished. I actually changed it back just to try it. No reprogramming was necessary and it worked just as it always did.
My only blunder initially was that I forgot to hook up the two wires for the Sirius Travel Link which I accidentally taped into the harness. Once I did that, everything worked as well as expected. I am totally pleased with the mod.

Is there an *' bezel that matches the texture and finish of the 4.2" bezel in the XLTs. I am extremely OCD and would like to have a bezel that matches the rest of the truck. Or do all 8" bezels have the titanium, brushed, or woodgrain finish?

I think they all have a smooth finish.
