Default How to turn off DRL's??

I just bought my '13 STX and I would like to be able to not only turn off the DRL's but be able to use my driving and/or fog-lights independently....how can I do this and are there links on the site with any info?

In some places, DRL's are mandated by law... can't speak for your location. But in Canada they are. So for me to have them disabled, is against the law. Again, I can't speak for your location.

But I would think the only way to disable them is programming. So I guess the answer is bring it to a dealership. But I would think they would not do it because of laws. And again, I cannot speak for your location.

I had mine turned on at the dealer. They have to use their computer. Saves me $120 a year on my insurance so it's a no brainier. IMO

I was surprised my 13 XLT doesn't have them.

Can they really just be turned on by the dealer? Or is it dependent on your trim?

not sure why anyone would want DRLs. all it does is burn the bulb out sooner. i don't think I've ever had an instance where I saw headlights and was like "damn, good thing they had their lights on or I wouldn't have seen the 20 feet of truck attached to them"

The general mass population can't be accounted for the same or similar observation skills that most have, thus the moron effect.

Morons that are given a license to drive so the added extra that is DTRL might just save some lives.

At least that's my theory.
