Default How is the ride on OEM 20" wheels? Upgrading from 18

Looking to replace my stock FX4 18-inch wheels and was thinking about getting the 20-inch appearance package rims but worry that the ride is going to get harsh.
Anyone with similar experience?

Greg, I have the 20s on my 12 FX2 and IMO, ride is excellent. No issues here on my ride.

I test drove 2 '11's. one with 18's one with 20's. the 18s were smoother, but I bought the one with 20's.

I changed mine from Perreli (sp?) to Firestone, but my 20 inchers ride great and handle quite well. The downside is that your choice of stock size replacements is limited.

I'd buy the twenties again.

Good luck with your decision.

Stock replacement with either is pretty limited if you want to stick with P-Metric.

I had twenties stock and thought the ride was great. You probably wouldn't notice a huge difference unless you compared 17s and 20s.

Didn't really notice much of a difference, a little stiffer maybe. More responsive because of less sidewall though.

I have no complaints with the 20's. They are just a bit more stiff than smaller rims, but really not that noticeable. Better handling is a bonus too. Good luck!

I've got the Bridgestone 20's... I test drove the 18's
20's ride good, i really didn't notice a difference between the 18's...
Just need to watch the curbs more so ya do not brush into them and scratch a rim... less rubber
