Aren't the 20s significantly heavier than the 18s?

I got the 20's with my truck - wasn't looking for them but they happened to come with the "chrome" package.

TBH, I wish I asked the dealer to put 18's on them.

Nothing wrong with them, but up here in Canada eh, 20" tires are $100 more each compared to 18" ones.

the 20's on my new '14 feel much better in the corners than my 18's did on my recently traded '11.

I guess if you consider 3Lbs / tire "significant".

275/65x18 Wrangler AT/S (39Lbs)
versus
275/55x20 Parada Spec-X (42Lbs)
.

I thought he was referring to weight of the wheels, not tires.

I had 18's on my 2012 FX2 and now 20's on my STX. I don't notice much of a difference in ride quality. The 20" Bridgestone's are nice tires....I think they're called Allenza's.

Has anyone changed out the stock Pirelli 275's for a different tire on their 20's? How much did that improve the ride quality and what tire did you get?

I had 18s on my 2010 and have 20s on my 2013. The 18s definitely have a superior ride comfort and are more suited for a truck. My opinion.

Maybe so on some irrelevant scale of handling, as either truck handles like a barn. My opinion, go for comfort. Full-sized trucks will never "handle" in any rewarding way whatsoever.

I swapped out the stock 275x55x20 Bridgestones for these 275x60x20 Toyo AT2's...P rated and only 43 lbs ea. They ride as good as the Bridgestones but look better and have more traction. Only lost about 1/2 mpg due to rolling resistance. Tires are 33x11.
