Question How to remove lower tow mirror glass

I need some help. I received my tow mirrors last week and I'm currently in the process of adding a running/signal light combo to the front, however, to do so I need to take off the lower mirror. I can't figure out how its held in there, you can see in the second picture I've tried popping it out with a flat head screwdriver with no luck. Hopefully someone on here can point me in the right direction, I don't want to break anything!

Thanks guys,
Dylan.

Man, I think mirror glass is most often held on by tape. Since the housing is plastic, carefully apply heat to the glass, be patient, and try again to lift the glass.

Haven't taken the mirror out, but I'm guessing that it's held in with a ball and socket. At least, that's what it feels like when adjusting the mirror.

Heat up the glass and carefully remove it. Behind the glass you will find a screw that holds the ball and socket together.

If the guy's still scratching his head almost 8 years after the creation of this thread, he shouldn't have done this mod in the first place.
