Things like this are why I go through the motions of retrieving the spare when I first get a vehicle.

Firstly you can see how it all goes toget her without the stress of a flat on the road.

Secondly you can see if any parts are missing to actually do the job.

It happened to my friend, we couldn't get the tire down because parts were missing!

How does that help you get the spare tire lowered? You have to remove the factory jack from the box to get the three bars out that snap together then lower the spare. I've never used the factory jack, but I've had to put it back in the box once...

Does harbor freight have a one piece bar that fits into the spare tire hoist?

Wasn't tryin to split hairs.... I tried to fashion something up to lower the tire without using the stock poles and lug wrench to turn them... Then gave up and got the factory jack out - tossed it aside - and put the poles together. I was genuinely curious if you had gotten something at Harbor Freight - there's one three miles from my house and would be there tomorrow to buy it.
