Good deal.

Read up on the weep hole in the intercooler mod. Also look at getting a programmer for the truck. It really wakes them up.

I'll def keep you updated, I was shocked that the bypass valve wasn't covered under warranty. Turbos are, as well as vacuums. However, bypass is not. I'm going to pick up my trailer tomorrow and drive it up a 3 degree incline at 65 mph to see what the results yield. Ultimately, I'm just hoping the truck performs normally. I appreciate the help. ford came back and requested I tow my trailer to see if there are still overheat problems.

Unfortunately I am not in a financial position to sell this thing so I am stuck with it for the foreseeable future. I feel your pain. If you can afford it, dump the Eco and look for a clean 6.2. It will be a challenge, I wanted a 6.2 and settled on the Ecohype because I couldn't find a 6.2 that wasn't a loaded Platinum.

Hi, it is not "Hype". My Ecoboost will pull my 6,300 lb. trailer up any mountain at whatever speed I set my cruise control at which is usually 60 or 65 MPH. If your truck can't pull a 4,000 lb. trailer something is wrong with your truck or it's operator error.

Not sure what you are looking for. I already stated I believe it is my gearing paired with a weak engine. I tend to agree with what my dealer says, it isn't a V8. I don't have the patience to list all of my issues with this truck. The biggest being it's inability to tow, which is why I bought it in the first place.

Not sure what you're looking for. You have an engine that has the 2nd highest available TQ of ANY gas engine in a F150...ever. The 13 more ft-lbs or torque in the 6.2 available 2000 rpm higher in the power band isn't going to help you.

Something is up with your truck, mine tows 7000lbs quite well in the mountains or on the prairies.

Good luck with the road test OP!

I had a 2011 and a 2013 both with the 3.5L EcoBoost and they pulled my travel trailer that is just over 7000lbs without issue as well.

So I took the truck to a mountain road and filmed it. Turbos screaming like hell, she went into engine protection mode while maintaining 55mph on a 2 degree incline. Got about 5 mpg and couldn't accelerate beyond that. Time on in,Inez was about 1 min before the engine went into protection mode. Is this normal?

I think you knew the answer before you asked the question. No.
