My side badges are one piece also. I wonder if it has to do with where is was manufactured? If you have a lariat two piece side emblem where was it built? Mine was Dearbourne. I think all the LL's were built there.

Also, I have been looking for the UG (White Metallic Tri-Coat) paint here in town and was told Ford only lets DuPont make it? I found it online for $54 a 12oz rattle can. Anybody find it cheaper? I know the OP said three cans but I think one should do it for three emblems.

I used one can for all three badges ( and it was small, about 1/3 the size of normal spray cans), but mine is oxford white, without metallics or pearls. The brand I used was Dupli-Color.

Yeah, no dupli-color for the tri-coat. Pisses me off. Not like its that hot of a color anyway. Definitely not worth the markup in price with the sharty way they painted my truck.

I wonder if you could get a little from the body shop at the Ford house, maybe they will hook it up cheap for as little as you need.

There should be a company near you that puts spray in cans. We have one here its like 18 bucks for an exact match for one can.

Yeah, I am actually supposed to get paint work done this month. All LL grills lines suck and they never painted where the clips were on the flairs:

Pretty pathetic for a charged "Premium Paint". I want to color match the black clips that hold the flairs and my backup sensors. I would just assume do it myself.

I would have to agree with you, if you are paying extra for a certain paint, then it should look better not only in color, but quality as well.

Got my paint at my friend bodyshop. He makes me 2oz of dupont color match. The only thing is tht you need a paint gun to use it.
