How many people have had their roof leak on their 09-14's?

I can absolutely understand why some are leary and have had legitimate bad experiences with their sunroof's.
I understand in their thinking of why take an unnecessary chance.
For me though. I'm addicted to having an open roof and the sunlight.. I'm not claustrophobic, but I feel like I'm in a dungeon in vehicles without one.
I do use the hell out of mine. My best guess would be, I open and and close it no less than 250 days a year. Maybe that's the reason I haven't had issues or I've just be very lucky.
Regardless I wouldn't buy one again without one.
8 year's with the 2005. Zero issues. If you don't count every window switch that would repeatedly fail in the down or open position, including the roof and rear slider. Till I had enough with the oem's & replaced with Dorman switches. Problem solved.
1 year with that used 2010. The only thing that wasn't wrong with that truck was the sunroof. First used vehicle I bought since my 20's. Never again!
3-3/4 years with the 2014. Zero issues.
Just to add, I live north of Boston. So my truck goes through all the crazy weather patterns. Summers with 100℉ of baking sun, to Fall with every pine needle and leaf trying to attach itself to the track.
Then Winters of 30℉ to -10℉ with snow and ice, and finally Spring with all it's little annoying things that fall off the tree's, trying to find their way to the sunroofs track's...
So if that isn't a good test, I don't know what would be.

Update on sunroof leak on 2014 Lariatt Super Crew 4X4.
Dealer said they fixed issue, but as with most useless *** dealer services depts., didn't bother to test the vehicle by washing it. I did, and the damn thing leaked in the same place. Took it back, they inspected the new drain tube installation, and they were all in place. So, they now point to the seal around the glass ( by the way, told them about the excessive leak around the glass when I poured water from a bottle directly onto the sunroof). They said I was pouring more water than the roof can handle. SO, that is the first "dumbass" statement they made. Water poured from a bottle does not replicate rain water or water from a car wash, hose, etc. Pure *** physics will tell you that the latter is more likely to cause leaks. But any way, they now say the cost will be an additional $989.00 , part/labor, to "fix" the issues. The seal comes already on the glass, so they have to replace entire sunroof glass. I have to contact Ford Customer Service to complain and ask they foot the cost of this ****ty design. My gut tells me it will go no where, but I'll try, and keep trying until I get someone to listen to me. Bottom line is if they sell a vehicle with a sunroof, the design should be better than it is. At his rate I can expect a new sunroof glass every 2 1/2 years to "fix" the issue. As stated I will be looking for a new vehicle in the next few months. If Ford ignores this, a new Toyota will be purchased. And Ford will lose a life long customer, and my local dealer will lose as well. I will be sure to post the final results of this ordeal.

The leaks are very common, as common as the same folks here that NEVER have any issues with their truck!
The way to clean the stain is with distilled water and a micro fiber towel. Blot the towel with distilled water, wipe and saturate the stain then immediately dry with a hair dryer. Comes out perfect every time.
Yes I have had the REAL 3rd brake light.

How's she goin' eh?
Knock on wood, no leaks. I don't use my sunroof as often as I want. My travel to work is south and west. The sun is in my eyes. I use it at night on the way home and if I'm going east at all.

I had a leak in the LF corner, but it was a pinched/cracked drain tube and an easy fix. It was actually pretty easy to drop the headliner enough to fix it. I ended up dropping all 4 corners to check them all. I also discreetly sealed around the 3rd brake light and Sirius antenna with black silicone (dark brown truck).
For cleaning up the stains, I had good results with Clorox wipes followed by a damp towel. I would think white vinegar should work too.

I enjoy having it and use it 3/4's of the year. I sure hope my lucky streak continues, because when it leaks, I know I'm in for an expensive, pain in @55, repair.

So let's talk more about those rubber "seams" in the rear upper corners of the roof. So you guys are saying that those can leak also? Has anybody successfully sealed those up?

Will see if I can find.

I don't have a sunroof.
I have sprayed rust neutralizer into my lower cab corners, sealed up all the holes with fresh tape, and sealed off my 3rd brake light. I just want to know if those rubber strips at the top cab corners should also be sealed to ensure that no more water runs into my lower cab corners.

And today my truck decided to have this problem too... got in the truck after work this am and I instantly smelled mold / mildew . guess I'll be picking up a new brake light seal or making one and adding some silicone this weekend.
