Default How many have went against better judgement and tuned?

I purchased a 2013 F150 screw with the 5.0 in the middle of December. How many have went against better judgement and tuned even though the truck is under warranty...if so, how many have had warranty issues and been popped by the dealer for them seeing it was tuned?

My truck is certified used so it came with a 15,000 mile warranty from the dealership and for me that's 2.5 years of driving. I come from the diesel world and tuning them was like a cup of coffee in the morning, its just standard (if you don't drink coffee, substitute whatever your standard is). I'm trying to reserve myself but its getting the better of me wanting to know how the 5.0 will run/react to a 5 star tune.

Also, has anyone had an issue with their 5 star tune that created an issue with their truck that it needed to go to the dealer for repair?

Thanks in advance.

just buy a pedal commander and you won't void any warranties and you will be giggling like a little girl.

Who certified it? 15k mile no year limit CPO is unusual. Are you sure it isn't 12k mile/12 month? Anyway it really doesn't matter. The big one is CPO vehicles usually have the powertrain warranty extended to 7yr/100k miles which is the one that if you had a failure and they found evidence of a tune would bite you.

I bought my truck with 30k on it and tuned it within a month. It recently rolled over to 70k miles, no issues so far....

What is your goal? I have been tuning my vehicles since rejetting and recurving were rhe norm. I haven't looked into tuning my '11, but will if need be.
A wideband analyzer is your friend to keep things safe.

I don't know who certified it, it said it on the window tag and it came with a 3 year, 15,000 mile warranty

No specific goal, more of a curiosity to see how it runs with a tune. I do miss the low end of acceleration of my old 7.3...so I would say better throttle response (to trick my mind into thinking I have more power) would be nice. I know I can get a pedal commander like rubyfx4 recommended, but I feel if I'm spending that much money I'd like to add some performance to it also.

PS...sorry, but I have no idea what a wideband analyzer is.

Thanks

Monitors AFR while driving. Requires drilling a hole into the exhaust pipe, lambda sensor, and the test unit itself/lap top interface.

A lot of people have tuned their vehicles on here. 5 Star and MPT paired with a sct x4 are the go to items. I have had mine 5 star tuned for the last 1.5 years with no issues.

My 13 was bought with 51000 km on it. Tuned shortly after, traded it off at 181000 km. No issues. Got a 17 2.7 now.
