I have a bit more than 9 years till I retire so I'll probably get one just before I retire. And since me and my wife take turns getting new vehicles it's her turn next when mine is paid for.

Since this is my first new vehicle, I hope to keep my truck 10 years/150k miles. Up here in the rust belt, cars start to rot out from road salt at 10+ years long before their usable life (engine/tranny) is used up. At least in my case since I don't put a ton of miles on my vehicles.

Well I still have '89 Bronco 105K, very little rust, '99 F250LD 75K almost no rust. Both kept outside all year in southern Mich. Not driven too much in winter.

Going to order 2014 XLT 5.0 scab in april and will keep it till (I'm 73, well you know lol). Bronco will go to daughters woodlot and F250LD goes to son, but I will still be fixing.

I've had mine for almost 3 years. Not sure when or if I will sell. If I did likely would not get another truck. I have three tall Kids and once they are out of the house the boat will be sold. So nothing to tow or haul. Maybe I'll get a nice Lexus or mustang.

I retire in a year and my truck is paid off but I am not sure if I keep the truck when I retire. I have my eye out for an old restored pickup. 1950s or 1960s. Still have a year to think about it. May even keep the truck and buy a 60s Mustang.

Well, I've managed to keep a 1997 2500 Ram Cummins on the road since new, so considering my newer truck is a FORD....let me see...ummm....wait for it...FOREVER! lol

Until it is 10-15 years old is what I expect. Will probably have between 100,000 and 200,000 miles then.

I log a lot of work miles on this truck, and I'll most likely replace it at 150k...which will take about 3.5-4 years to hit. My Platty has been rock solid so far, it's got 61k on the odo.
