Just got rid of the OEM Pirelli Scorpion 20" at 35k miles. Replaced with Michelin and couldn't be happier. The Pirellis still had tread depth, but they were rock hard and had little grip.

The Michelins are a lot smoother ride and have plenty more grip.

Had Hankook Dynapro A/T's in 235/75R17 form the factory. I got just over 78K before I replaced them with Firestone Destination A/T's in 285/70R17's. A lot of highway miles, but loaded with good weight because of work. Not real good in the rain (hydro-planed easily even when new), fair on dry pavement.

My Goodyear tires were at 6-7mm tread left at 40k miles. If I hadn't traded I would have replaced at 50k miles. But after 30 k miles they became less planted in the wet and snow....

My stock Goodyears are looking very good at 26,000 miles. I think they'll see 50,000 before I replace them.

Granted i"m only at 25,000 miles or so, but so far my SR-A are still looking good. 1 tire does seem to be wearing a little faster than the other 3, but i'm sure I have got at least as much left in them. We'll see how the winter goes.

Having said that, I'm already looking for the best tire to replace them when the time comes

Sounds like the new BFG AT KO2's have a 'harder compound' but still aggressive tread - might be worth taking a look!

My stock Goodyear SRA's were at the wear bars at 34,000 miles. Replaced with Duratrac's and haven't looked back.

The stock Scorps lasted 406 miles on my truck (from an Oklahoma dealer to my Dallas dealer and home delivery)...
