Default How to identify AC compressor

There appear to be two different style AC compressors for my 2011 Lariat 5.0. It has a build date of 12/10 and the old style belt without a tensioner, but I can't find out if either of those tie into which style compressor it is. Is there any other way to determine this before removing the compressor?

Yup, started out as P/N BL3Z-19702-B which was superseded by BL3Z-19703-D. No options.

So I see two different styles listed here can I just ignore the last one? The motorcraft compressor listed has a cross reference part number to the later part given above.

Given the very minor price differences listed here, why would you buy anything other than the OEM option? ESPECIALLY with an online retailer. Should you have any issues with the part, the motorcraft can be warrantied at any Ford dealer (after a proper diagnosis) meanwhile every other part listed would almost certainly need to be shipped back to the manufacturer (at your expense) and they do a diagnosis and determine whether the part was defective or failed from an outside cause. During which time you will either have to sit and wait for their decision, which could take WEEKS, or buy a second part and hope that the company will reimburse you (unlikely)
Now if the Ford option was significantly more expensive, I could see trying another brand for budget reasons. But we're talking less than $30 difference.
With that said, when it comes to parts like this, I prefer to buy local even if the price is a bit more, strictly in case there is an issue and a return or exchange is required. And if you have never tried to return or exchange anything through Rockauto, let me tell you it is an absolute nightmare.

In this case I would buy the motorcraft part, if it is compatible. For example though, the 2011 year is split for the AC belt, the year started with a belt with no tensioner and then switched to one with a tensioner. As I understand it they are not interchangeable. Given that there appear to be two options and motorcraft is only listing one of them, I wanted to make sure the one available is compatible. This wouldn't be the first part for this truck that motorcraft has discontinued and is no longer available.

I'm sure the YCC292 will work and its a bargain at $199.00. If your unsure try putting your VIN in on that Rock Auto site or ask the Apple Ford member to look it up by your VIN..

I'm sorry guys I really don't see any physical difference in any of the compressors. Although the Motorcraft YCC292 does say it's a DKS-17D style compressor. I did notice the price of the Motorcraft is considerably more expensive than the screen shot indicates. That sucks.
