Default build date info

I tried to log onto the various links listed thru out this thread and everyone of them comes up this info not available etc. Has anyone in this current time frame of mid September 2014 had any luck with an actual site that works to put your VIN into for real information.

I did look up the build date on my window sticker, but several posters on this thread advised that could be a week off the actual build date.

Thanks

^^
This site refreshes for me - just add your VIN
(noting Build Date is DD.MM.YYYY format):

Default Window Sticker Date

I believe the date on the window sticker is the invoice date, the build usually happens within a week, however if there is a stoppage for some reason, the actual build date might be much later.

As an example, the window sticker on my 2010 Mustang shows 12/22/09 but the actual build did not occur until 01/10/10, due to a stop build on the 2010 model year, that was due to it failing the IIHS crash test. They had to redesign the front end to pass the test, before resuming the build.
BTW, if you are looking at a 2010 Mustang, make sure it was built after 1/1/10, as they never recalled the previous builds to reinforce the front end.

Default continuing problem with Ford Site

Greetings All:

I followed the link that DirtDawg sent me which was for etis.ford etc. and I must just be stupid because when I went to the etis site it asked me to log in and register all my personal information and then advised me I had to agree to pay them in U.S. Currency or Pound Sterling and list my Tax information before I would be given any information. I just gave up at that point.

I got the impression from DirtDawg that I could just simply go to this site and put my new trucks VIN in to get its actual build date. This started out as something fun to learn about my truck but it is not worth the hassle.

^^^
Unsure if your comments were meant as sarcastic tongue-in-cheek humor?

For others reading, that site is FoMoCo's, with Vehicle Lookup tab providing specific build info:
