I have tried multiple times to disable mine. I did it by the book. I even got a flashing light after it was done. I have tried just turning off the key and also starting the truck. The next time I turn on the key, the chime rings.

What might I be doing wrong?

04-08 F150 9 times
09-13 F150 3 times
All Super Duties 9 times
It is reversible by doing the same steps as disabling!
This is not tuff people!
Sit in truck close door turn key forward but don't start! Wait till seat belt light goes out! Buckle/unbuckle 3 times! Seat belt light will flash! At that point buckle/unbuckle once more and your done!
Easy!

Done this. The chime still rings.

Does this disable the initial chimes or just the chimes if you drive without the belt?

For those using their truck for working where they get out and get in, then move a little, and then get back out, the ability to disable the seatbelt chime is one of the best features on Ford trucks period!

It doesn't disable the initial chimes, just the reminder chimes afterward.

I bought one of these seat belt extenders. It stays plugged into the stock seat belt receiver. I don't think mine ever dings... At start-up or down the road.
