How to black out front and rear ford emblem

Hi guys,

Have a 2014 FX4 supercrew in Black. Want to black out the front and rear ford emblems. Any idea how to do this? Something that will stand up...

I also have the backup camera so need to be mindful of this.

If I could also black out the front quarter panel emblems that would be cool. Or can I buy these blacked out already? The f150 fx4 emblems.

Pictures would be great too.

Thanks,

Nick

Plasti dip works very well, and will hold up. You can also scary some glossifier on it to give it a gloomy finish if your not feeling the matte black.

I used spray tint on mine since I have color matched grill.

Wife has a flat black grill on her Tremor, so I plasti-dipped hers.

How do you guys protect the backup camera? Are you taking the badges off then doing it or while on the truck?

Thanks,

Nick

Just taped up the camera with 3 layers of tape just covering it up and sprayed 4 coats of plastidip

Plastidip and spray tint have already been mentioned. I've also seen it done with the duplicolor black chrome kit.

Thanks you have any pictures of it finished?

When you peel off the tape does it leave a clean line? I would worry about it coming up a little?

Once done, the tape comes off easy and then it peels perfectly off the paint but sticks to the emblem

The more coats the easier it will be to peel off the paint
