Hmmm...I'm 6'4" with shoes on and I have to stand on the running boards to wash the roof of the truck so I'm pretty sure mine is well taller than six and a half feet. I've actually been meaning to measure mine which is why I took interest in this thread. My antenna scrapes on certain parts of the parking garage where I work.

Of course you do. You'd have to be at least a foot taller to do that without standing on something. I'm 6'-3" and can't reach much past the top edge of the doors without a step, or standing on the side-steps. My '12 Explorer is much shorter than my '14 F150, and I still can't reach very far across the roof to wash it, without a step. In fact, the only vehicle in our household that I can comfortably wash the roof of, is my daughter's Focus... and it's a whole lot shorter than my F150.

the parking garage probably doesn't have that good an accuracy. so onc eyou know your number... make sure there some wiggle room!

I like using the antenna as a warning device, if it hits, stop and re-think

IF the truck is at an angle when entering (like many drop down garages), that will use some of the clearance. Depending on the angle, even 6" may not be enough.

The best I can remember from my measurements by laying a 2x4 across the highest point on the cab and measureing to the floor was just over 77". I've got no lift or level but do have 275x60x20 tires.

Watch the speed bumps in the garages. You'll loose clearance going over them.

You wouldn't fit in any garages around here with that truck. Seems like a poor idea to take that on a road trip knowing you are going to park in parking garages

i said the potential of parking in garages, ultimately i will try to avoid it. I agree the truck will not fit in many garages around here either, however i dont ever find myself needing to. as stupid as this thread may seem, I was just simply looking for some tips, or advice to get the most accurate measurment of the height of my truck. Just so I know.

my truck is the most comfortable vehicle i've ever taken on a roadtrip. Thank you everyone for your suggestions and input
