Horrible Fuel Milage. 2012 5.0L SC 4x4
I just drove 739.5km, between 100-120kph, and filled up with 117.9L!! All highway, and the best I can get is 15.94L/100km? My Jeep SRT8 was easier on fuel than this thing. (Computer said 14.5L/100km, but its always low)
My previous tank, all city (10km commute from downtown Edmonton) the truck used 23.8L/100km. (Computer said 20.2L/100km). I'm not happy at all.
Anyone have any wisdom to share?

Sounds about right. My Eco averages 14.3-15.9L/100km.

Sounds a bit low to me. Do you guys have to deal with winter fuels up there? Down here I see 1-2 mpg less in the winter.
Otherwise the lifetime average on my 5.0L is 14.7L/100km. Includes a mix of around town, highway, remote starting and idling.
Do you know what differential ratio your truck has?

OK, a quick conversion for us non-metric neanderthals:
OP, driving on highway at 62-74 MPH, covered 459.5 miles and put in 31.15 gallons of gas. This calculates out to 14.75 MPG for the trip.
I have to disagree with second poster, but this is low fuel economy for a 5.0L. For comparison, my 2011 4x4 5.0L SCREW consistently gets 18.5 - 19.5 MPG on the highway at steady speeds. Best I've seen is just over 20 MPG over a 200-mile stretch. In town and commuting, over entire tankfuls, I routinely average 16 - 17 MPG. Lowest non-towing MPG for a tank was 15.7 MPG.
14.7 MPG for a long highway trip sounds low to me. Type of fuel, lift kit, tires, altitude, terrain, etc. all could be factors.

Its the winter gas, The Fords don't like the cold weather for some reason. Mine is up to 18.2L/100km even my buddies Chevy 1500 with a 5.5 box is at 17.7, the combination of cold, winter gas, and snow on the roads is killing your economy,
