Horn honking instead of remote starting?
when leaving work last night it was snowing so I decided to use my remote start, the truck did not start but instead the horn honked. It kept doing this and did it about 10 times before I decided to get into the truck and start it via the ignition. I then turned the truck off for out locked the doors from the inside and tried the remote start again and it started.
Before yous say I was pushing the lock button twice before pressing the button to start it this is not the case as I was watching what buttons I pressed.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Boost :)
It happens occassionally yes. It is when the truck doesn't detect the right sequence or it didn't detect every button press. The only thing that will reset it is to get in and start it with the key as you already did. It happens rarely, but it does happen. I've had mine almost a year and a half and had my '11 almost two years before that. It may have happened once a month or less and I remote start mine at least once a day.

My starter works half assed on a good day to start so I don't expect much from it. When it did this I wasn't overly surprised. Gonna get them to take a look next maintenance.
