happened to me about a week ago or so. No idea what caused it. I have the seperate key fob and you need to hold the button for 2 seconds for it to start, so there is no way it wasn't proper sequence. Other than that issue, its been flawless. Its nice being inside a large concrete building surrounded by countless eletronics and being able to start my truck parked well over 1000' feet away.

This has happened to me as well. And I recall stumbling on the answer a while back in another thread. This will happen when you turn the ignition off before putting the truck in park. I tested it again after reading that and sure enough the remote start didn't work and the horn just honked. I'm sure there may be other reasons as to why this can happen but this I know for sure is one of them.

Gotta be the 200 or better, I have the 100 and it will never get that kind of range.

I'd love to get a 200' range , my 100 is good within 15-20 feet most of the time... otherwise shyte.

Edit: Ohhh 200" that's more accurate

Of course that is a completely uninterrupted sight line.
Actually it's all over the place really. There's been times when it's probably been around 20 ft and it was fighting me. Then I'll get one great shot and it starts.

I got my truck reflashed to fix the battery issue. Then for about two weeks it would only remote start when I was in the driveway standing by my truck. Then mysteriously it started working fine again. But it still has a weird range. Times its only 20-30 feet and then times its 100 feet or more Bas for the honking issue, this has happened to me twice. Both times it was fine after an ignition start.

Bottom line..... Ford remote starters are "****"
