Installed one on my 2011 F150.
It wasn't as easy as I thought.
Bought the rolling code Homelink from Ebay for about $25.
Got the matching color one, dark grey ( got lucky )
The liner wouldn't pull back as far as I would've liked because of the plastic clip part.
At first I tried to pull the plastic visor apart but gave up, it was too difficult.
So, don't try to pull it apart.
I ended up sharpening the paint can opener sharp at the end.
If you can imagine L shaped knife?? ( I don't have Dremel tool... )
It took awhile to cut open the plastic piece inside, tight space to work with.
I thought I ruined my brand new truck visor as I was working on it.
Because I was pulling, stretching, cutting and cursing...
But to my surprise when I tucked the liner back in the visor, it looked brand new.
As if it came with it from the factory.
The liner covers up everything.
So no worries if you make little mistakes on plastic piece, as long as you don't damage the liner part
I'm very happy with this mod.
It took me about 1 hour to do it.
If you have better tools, you can probably get it done in 30 Mins.

You should be able to do this if you want a garage door opener and don't want to replace the sun visor. This guy did everything except post the part number for the Home Link module.

Anyone have any pics of the homelink unit mounted in a truck W/O factory wiring in the visors? I'm wondering where to put it and what wires to tap into if I pick one up off ebay...

so.. if one bought the whole visor from a ford parts supplier (I know, many $$) with the lighted mirror and homelink already in it, it's just one plug?
