I know you said you're not into the flip covers, but I have a BakFlip on mine and love it. Super easy to break down. All you do is pull the cord inside to flip up a section and can go all to way up to lean against the cab if you need. They also look great and are water tight. Very easy installation as well

I bought mine off ebay for my 2013 fx4 and has worked great so far, had it over a month now. The actual brand is tonnomax.

I've had an Extang cover of some sort on every truck I've had with 0 issues and will continue to buy their products.

I have been researching and the extang fulltilt seems good, but the lund genesis seems cheaper. Hard to tell from pics on the interwebs.

I HATE to say this, but I am starting to feel the same way.
I have ALWAYS had EXTANG classic platinum (standard snap style soft) covers on my last 3 trucks. LOVED them except for having to snap them in cold weather. a friend of mine had a full tilt and I said my next truck will have one of them and I held true to my word. its been very conveinent compared to a normal snap style. but just this past weekend after having it stored in the garage for a couple months, I attempted to reinstall it. everything went back together great. I attempted to close the cover thinking I am done and the bracket where the gas strut attaches to the frame FELL OFF. I looked at it, and the aluminum frame where this bracket attaches had stretched from being stressed at a bad angle. I can only assume that it is from when the cover is open, t puts stress on some not so strong areas of the aluminum. it fatigued, split a tiny bit and allowed the bracket to pop out of its slot. I managed to get it back in without tooo much hassle but I was not impress to say the least.
I also am not impressed with the cover itself. it just doesnt look good. the bows have waaay too much arch and stick up significantly above the bed and the tarp seems to have a significant amount of slack, even with all the adjustments on the tightest setting. this excess slack probably helps with cold weather snap ability, but it comes at a cost of looks. on top of all this, between the high bow arch and the slack tarp, it does a lot of flapping going down the highway which does not help and most likely hurts aerodynamics.

the same friend who introduced me to the full tilt has an extang trifecta on his current truck and he tried to convince me to get one of those instead. he loves it and says he'll never buy another type of cover again.

it seems like quite a few people on here also prefer the trifecta.

The old sportmaster tonneau that I had was tight fitting. I tried once to take it off in the winter by unsnapping all the snaps. Bad idea. When I tried to put it back on, the vinyl shrunk because it was cold. I got it half way on the truck and had to put a small space heater in the bed of the truck to get enough heat to allow the cover to stretch enough for me to snap it all the way around.

The only reason I am really wanting a flip type tonneau cover is that most times I haul something oversized, it is only a little taller than the bed. Like about 1 to 4 inches taller than the bed side. With a hinged tonneau, I can just bungee cord the thing down good enough to get around town. Anything rigid doesn't seem like it would be able to do that. Flip types seem to be all or nothing. Either all 3 panels down and secured, or the whole thing has to be taken off the truck. Please correct me if I am mistaken. Thanks.

I have an Extang Trifecta with the canvas signature series. 2 years so far. It's holding up great. very easy to flip or take off if needed. No tools required. Cleans easily with regular soap and water.
