So, if anyone else is having this issue hope this helps.
was this covered under warranty? If so how did you get them to replace it when there is no code that comes up for steering rack? Thanks

Default No code

I can't remember if mine actually had a code, but, they took all the information, submitted it to ford and ford told them to replace the steering rack because the sensor was made into the rack.

thanks, my dealership says they have never heard of such an issue. Told me it might be throttle body. So I replaced it and everything seems fine so far..only has been a couple of days.

Default Problem solved, thanks to the F150 Forum.

A month or so ago, my 2013 F150 4x4 with 26,000 miles had a "low brake fluid" warning and 20 seconds later I had zero brakes - on a 60 MPH road. I was able to stop by downshifting and then using the emergency brake, thankfully very little traffic at the time. The problem as was a blown master cylinder seal. Anyway - after that very expensive repair, I kept getting Advance Track and Hill Descent fault lights every time I drove, but otherwise performance was not affected so I tolerated it for a while. However, while on the highway, I noticed that tapping the brake did not disengage cruise control, and I remembered posts in this forum mentioned the brake light switch was the culprit; a faulty brake light switch would also explain the cruise control problem. So I ordered a new switch, put it in, cruise control disengages properly and no more Advance Track / Hill descent fault lights. I'm not sure I would have put that all together had it not been for the comments and suggestions in this forum.

This hill descent/ service advancetrac warning came on in my truck this morning, 2013 F150 scab with 63200 miles. Only difference from what I've read in this post is that I had no power steering along with the loss of the directionals. I drove the car for about 3 miles to the Ford dealer and turned off the truck in the parking lot. When I started the truck again the errors were gone and had my power steering back. I told them to put it on my file that this happened, and they said they couldn't because there was nothing wrong with the truck when they looked at it. Think it's time to go to another dealer.

SOLVED my problem after checking here. I had a couple extra longer-length Raptor sensors in anticipation for some work done on my 2017 F150 Lariat 4x4. While putting risers on it (temporary solution), i had the same problem - check engine, hill descent, abs, and another warning or two. This time i UNHOOKED the battery, replaced both speed sensors (remove brake caliper, dust shield, and use allen wrench to remove from hub), then clearing with FORSCAN software, all lights are gone. Seems i may have damaged the speed sensor when the knuckle came out of my hand and pulled the old sensor wire. hope this helps someone

Default Hill descent/service advance Trac/ check brake system

Hello new here to the forum and experiencing a lot of the same problems most ha e had here. I have a 2013 F150 FX4. I recently got all the faults listed above. My truck is still driving fine. No loss of owed steering or loss of use of blinkers, yet, but is still a concern for me I’ll be taking it to the dealership today for the recall listed with my VIN about the throttle body issue. I’m hoping I don’t have to replace my steering rack, anyone have any insight on what this outcome might be just to brace myself if It is looking like the steering rack will have to be replaced?

Total for replacement of steering rack, and associated hardware was approximately $1700.00. Took 1 day to diagnose and order parts, and 2 days to receive parts and install. No problems after the new unit was installed.

Default ABS pigtail [ wiring harness ]

I had these lights come up on my truck I didn’t have any loss in power or loss in steering, my truck just rolled over the basic warranty of 60000km/ 3 years. But when I bought the truck I got the extended warranty to 150000km/7 year. Got a text from ford telling me it was part # wpt 984 he described it as the ABS pigtail/ ABS harness which apparently is linked to all the other lights that came on as well. The part is $42 CAD and he said to the total for part and labour is $425 CAD because extended warranty doesn’t cover wiring issues.... a complete joke if you ask me because right in the Tricare warranty it says braking system under coverage. I told him I’d buy the part and install myself and he said I will be charged $211 for the diagnostic that had to be done also not covered under the warranty. Looks like I am going to have to be a ***** when I go back later today. Seems like this part was designed to fail right around warranty expiry which is as much as a person can expect now a days. I hope this helps anyone else who has these lights could try swapping out your ABS harness again the part number is wpt 984 but I will attach a pic when I get the part later
