There is a way but it completely disables the DRL in daytime, you have to splice a wire I'll see if I can find it somewhere. Remember in Canada disabling DRL is Illegal and doing the splice will result in no lights on unless you switch to parking.

First you will ony have an issue with cheap HID kit ballasts and flickering, you should not have an issue with the DRL

Second to disable (do so at your own risk)
If you have a HID kit there are three wires to the headlight plug a white a brown/black and a blue, if you cut the white and on the side that goes to the relay tap it into the hot wire on your parks the headlights will not come on til its dark enough to trigger the lights. They will come on for a second with the parks and when you open the door.

There is a guy in Calgary that sells a good set of HID ballast that wont flicker. If you PM me I can send you his # and a pic of my ballast I got from him. I've tried many others and these have given best result. If you run HID with DRL the lights last about a year to year and half from my experience, 3 F150 later. I would Highly recommend getting a full second set of everything in case one blows. I go through about 1 every year and half bulbs included.

Putting HID capsules in a halogen housing with halogen optics simply will NOT work properly no matter how much you want them to. Read about the science of lighting.

You'll be happy you did.
