Yep! I sometimes forget when I drive other people's cars that theirs don't do that, and I'll barely turn the key forward and release, and it will crank an then die. Good call Ford!

I know what you mean, I tend to forget when I drive the wife's Outback! It tends to not go well as one time I got it to throw a code for the crank sensor. The code threw at 250 RPMs!

Do you have MyFordTouch? I think the 2011-2012 sync system will work but can't confirm. I know 2010s will not. If so, is it the latest version? You can go to sync myriads.com and check/download the new version. It's not the phone. It has to be your sync system. Hope this helps.

going from my truck, to my wife's lexus with push-button start, and all the new mercury marine engines are now coming with "smart-start" i am always trying to start everything by just bumping the key or looking for a button on the dash.
