Default Hidden Antenna

So I have been looking into getting rid of my antenna for awhile now, and I have $30.81 left on one of my debit cards and was thinking why not go ahead and buy it since its 29.99 and I have just enough for it and couldnt think of a better way to spend it lol. Now my question is, has anyone purchased this item yet? If so how is the reception and how easy is it to install. Sounds fairly simple..

Here is the link:

Just wanted to hear about it alittle before I made the purchase today.

I think you would be better off spending that money on even more weed . . .

Good luck though.

Dont forget to write up a nice little review, once you get it installed.

While I have no 'personal experience' with this kit there is a similar thread on tahoeyukonforum.com and guys that have used similar stated they suffered loss of some of their channels while some only lost them when facing certain directions.

Unsure if it was with an amplified kit though... So that may make a difference.

My only thoughts on the one you posted is the line,

Get rid of your annoying STOCK ANTENNA that makes your CAR / TRUCK look UNCOOL
Really? that stubby little replacement looks cool? Looks like the replacement is genetically challenged... However I guess you could 'smooth' the antenna hole out and negate this piece all together.

I had a stubby antenna on a different vehicle, it looks better but you lose reception, especially in areas where its not good to begin with. In some places I didn't get any channels.

How that setup would work, I don't know, but thats my experience.

I have done an antenna delete on a few vehicles. I used a kit I bought off crutchfield.com. The crummy part for you is they dont carry it anymore. It worked extremely well however. Look around for a beefier design, that one looks cheap. Cheap electronics usually preform like cheap electronics.

I wouldnt get one of those unless it was around 100 bucks. The price comes from quality signal grabbing materials.

I wouldn't get that kit either. If I were going to remove the antenna I would get the fender filled in and fixed like the antenna was never there to begin with.

The hidden antenna is a cool idea like the on on my wifes honda odyessy is in the rear side glass, But you still have a hole in your fender to deal with. What about an electric antenna? Semi or full automatic. I had a semi auto on a mustang I had, I would put it up just a little so I could receive down if I wanted it to go away. And with it down if someone sat on my fender I'd give em a little goose
