HID in reflector housing on 2012???
Ok very first I want to make clear THIS IS FOR A HUNTING TRUCK NOT ONE THAT WILL BE ON THE ROAD AT ALL!!!
Wanted to make that very clear first to hopefully keep this from becoming another forum of people fighting.
So as far as this goes I have purchased a used 2012 f-150 to keep at our hunting camp for riding to the stand and all over the land. The truck will stay on our land probably never see a paved road unless it has to go to the shop. Question being I want to improve the headlights. I currently have silver star ultra's they are very bright but I was wondering if I stuck plug in hid's in the reflector housing would it improve the lighting or would it be negative since it will be scattered??? I don't want a led light bar either just not interested. I will never pass another car on my own land so the glare would never be an issue to others. I am not very knowledgeable on this issue so keep it simple please! Thanks guys!!!!

You want the H13 Hi/Low and 4500 color, anything higher in temp the lumens (usable light) drops off.

Kickin it
4500 will be damn bright and much stronger than the ones you have. I run HIDs in my housings on the street and I do feel somewhat bad but at same time it's just common sense not to look at someone's headlight directly lol.

Will this work fine in my reflector headlights? As in will this be the best option for my needs with being reasonable priced??

I want to run HIDs also however will these melt the chrome housing in either the headlights or fogs? I had them in my silverado and it melted the crap out of the fog housing and started to discolor the chrome on the head lights, and this was only after a few months of them being in.
