Most people use ddm tuning. But the light scatter on putting hids in stock housings is unpredictable and not very safe as they are designed for halogens. Retrofits are a much better option, although pricy. There are plenty of threads on hids so just use the search box cause I can't fit it all in.

I put HID's in my truck headlights and fogs 6000K I think and the light was surprisingly good, aimed them down after i installed them and ended up with a pretty straight line. Went with DDM Tunning.

Do it right or don't do it at all. Don't make other drivers suffer because you have $40 and an eBay account.

They are retrofitted 2010 capsules with a TRS FX-R Stage III kit using 4300k bulbs and Morimoto ballasts. I bought them from a forum member but they were half *** (broke) when I received them and not completed. I had to do a lot of work on them to make them right and functional. All told I'm quite happy with them but i may upgrade to 50 watt Morimoto ballasts and 5k bulbs to get a bit more light output.
