Default Hid headlights

I'm looking for advice on hid headlights. I have a 13 xlt. I want the smoked or black color. Is it possible to do the conversion with oem parts ? Best quality aftermarket suggestions. Thanks for any input.

I thought about doing HID but I was told the whole housing has to be changed which is pricey. Are you just looking for bright lights? I do like that smokey look too. If you're wanting brighter do what I am doing and buy a LED conversion for $100. I ordered mine from Amazon. My buddy has some and they are amazing.

Start off right, get the proper housing (projector) like on the oems! I have them on my 12 xlt and love them!

All you need to make them work is the wiring harness, its worth the price to do it right!

Did you buy the headlights from the dealer ? Is the wiring harness a factory part of conversion harness somebody makes. Thanks

The harness is aftermarket and made by morimoto. Most have been picking up factory hids on the forum here. Saw a few sets go for pretty good prices in the last few weeks.

I bought mine for 800.00 new on ebay, and the Harness for 110.00. The harness is aftermarket, and can be bought many places, TheRetrofitSource.com is one.

So if i bought oem hid headlights, ballasts, bulbs i would just need the morimoto harness to make them work? You happen to have a part # for harness ? Thanks for your help.

Correct, they're straight plug n play with the harness.
