They make the ZXE's for the 2009-2013 F-150, I have them in my truck.

A big mistake people make is touching the bulb while putting it in. This will create a hot spot on the bulb and make them burn out faster. Never touch anything but the plastic plug.

I believe you can also clean the bulb with an alcohol wipe if you do touch it to remove the oils that create the hotspot

Yep, that is correct.

Its easier to get a pair of nitrile gloves and then you won't have to worry about it.

The previous post that I quoted was talking about fog lights....

Just so we are clear, you are saying they make them for the fogs?
Thanks

Fog lights, no. I went with the Sylvania Silver Stars for Fogs. I went 5w higher, nice white light and bright.

I think I read somewhere that some people had problems with wire harness/ pig tails burning/melting... Would this be a problem with these lights?

Nope. I posted about this a month or so ago and asked for input. Some people had problems with the PIAA's melting the lens, but people said the silver star's were fine. I have the silver stars for a month, no problems.

ya its just like the halogen bulbs you put in the lights on your house. finger oils will heat up and burn a very fine hole in the glass and there goes the bulb. the bulb maker don't tell you this because thay want you to touch them and be back in a year to buy new ones (product turn over)
to the OP nice find and thanks!
