Looks nice. Do they make them for the rev lights?

I've run them in a few different cars for many years now. I was generally happy with them, although they do, for obvious reasons, burn out sooner than stock bulbs. I swapped them into my F150, because I do a ton of night driving and as we all know, our stock headlights suuuuuck. I'm not really impressed with the Sylvanias, they've been in my truck for a week now and I'm back to contemplating HID retrofits. If I don't go to HIDs I definitely won't be wasting any cash on these again once they burn out. Just my $0.02.

They make a SilverStar back-up light bulb but I don't think they make them in the zXe.

I bought a pair of Cree 5w projector reverse lights (921) and have been pretty happy with them even with 20% window tinting. They've been in place for just less than a year and haven't had any trouble so far. The light is way better than the stock bulbs. There's a link below although I got them in black and paid about $20 for the pair. It's interesting they now have white.

I have a set of these Silver Stars and they are nice. The light is really white compared to the Silver Star Ultras and a hella of a lot brighter than the crappy FOMOCO factory bulbs. These bulbs are good. Did some hard core off roading a few weeks ago and they are still running strong. Great bulbs for people on a budget Luke myself.

Do you need anything special to run these or are the just plug and play? Your entire setup sounds pretty good I'm thinking of doing the same... ZXE headlights, silver star fogs and the projector reverse lights. I will be driving in bad weather will these be better even in rain/snow?

I don't know a lot about lights but are yellow lamps better for that? Maybe I should go Zxe headlights and a yellow fog? What do you suggest since it sounds like you know your stuff

You don't need anything. Plug and play and they are great in the rain from my opinion.

They are plug and play for sure. Just make sure to test that they work before putting the taillight back together. LEDs have polarity and if it doesn't work, just rotate 180 and plug back in. 50/50 chance you get it right the first time with each light.

Don't know I'd go with the yellow fogs as that might look a little odd. I have the SilverStar whites in mine and they seem to work well even when snowing. The primary key is never turn on your bright lights in snow and some rainstorms as it dramatically reduces visibility.

Some people do think yellow fogs look weird but they are the most effective. If you really want the best performance (well, without going to HID) than choose a yellow lamp. The closer to blue the light gets, the less actual usful light you're getting on the road. The silverstars and zxe's are *brighter* but they throw less useful light than a yellow bulb. There are a million posts on here with all kinds of good info and links that explain the science behind it. What it all boils down to is you're paying more $$$ for more light that the human eye can't use, on top of less life out of the higher intensity bulbs. The "man, these are way brighter" argument is the same as dropping a K&N airhog filter in your stock air box and saying "man, this thing feels way faster!". There's no science to back up either claim, but it sure *feeeeel* brighter, faster, etc.

I kind of like the contrast in the front. I'm thinking of using white headlamps with the yellow fogs for when I do get into storms etc. then replacing the turn signal with a white bulb as well. Or I may get both and switch out depending in the season. Thanks for the input guys
