Hi/Lo Beam switch not working.
I have a 2013 f150 FX4 a couple of times now i have had a issue with the Hi/Lo beam switch working. When i pull the switch to switch from low beams to high beams they will come on as long as i hold the switch in but as soon as I let it go the low beams will come back on. Or sometimes the high beams will get stuck on and i cant get it to switch back to the low beams the same thing will happen. I would take it to the dealer but it would be kinda hard for them to figure it out since it doesn't happen all of the time. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard of this happening.

If you pull, it's only for 'flashing', its not 'on'. When you push it forward it's 'on'. Sometimes, if you pull too hard and let go, it will go past neutral and stay 'on' due to too much force forward. It will lock in the forward position, but will not lock in th epull position.

I can only pull mine to turn the high beams on. It will not Push forward. If i jus pull it a little bit it flashes the high beams, if I pull it a little more it "clicks" and the high beams come on....well most of the time.

Hmmm, it should be pull back and you get flash to pass and then you push it forward towards instrument cluster to to get highs to stay on.
Are you in US?
Did you get an owners manual with the truck? Look in there to verify if that operation is right. I think you may have something wrong as mine does not click between settings.

That's correct there is no pushing it is all forward movement or should I say (towards you). So I take it you know how the switch works and when they stick on you can pull it all the way forward until you arm gets sore and they will not go back to low or high which ever you were last on? correct! No come the bad thing,,, you already said it....... it doesn't happen all the time so I guess that will be a bummer to get the dealer to replace the switch unless they can duplicate it. It could be a lose connection but again it is a pain in the butt. You could take off the molding and check to see if all the connectors are secure but being that it is only the lights I doubt it will be a loose connection. that switch is a multiple controller so you would have other problems. So I would say you have to see if you can get it to do it anytime you are close to any ford dealer!

Yep thats how mine are. I can hear it click like it is switches to the high beams but when I let the switch out it goes back to low. Also when going from high to low it will get stuck on the high beams. I'm thinking maybe the switch is going bad. Maybe I guess i will have to make an appointment and get it checked out at the dealer. But i don't have a whole lot of faith in them fixing it since when I took it to have the rear end looked at for the clunking from drive to reverse they told me there were no TSB's for it.
