Looks like it was done the right way. If there ever was a right way of being a wannabe?

What if the owner of that truck has no need for the x-cab , crew cab Raptor ?
You guys talk about making the truck "yours" an original to your liking. Now you make comments about it being a wannabe or fake raptor. What the hell is up with you guys?

I see a lot more whining and name calling than anything else.
If you don't like it or have anything nice to say, don't say anything.

Whoever did it did a good job, Ive always wondered why Manufacturers don't offer higher trims in the standard cab versions? I know they wouldn't sell as many, but the option would be nice for those interested!

You answered your own question. Ford is a business who's goal is to make as big a profit as it can making vehicles that will appeal to the masses. Low profit margin = not worth their time. Offering more customized products is the aftermarket and custom shops (with the price to match) business model.

Or the owner knew he was gonna tear half the raptor parts out anyway in favour of better quality and longer travel so he started with something cheaper and built a better truck for cheaper than it would cost to buy a raptor.

There are some strange comments in this thread.
I wonder if in other forums people say the same thing about AC cobra kit cars (they should just buy the real thing......)?
It doesn't seem like the owner should have to install all of the suspension/drivetrain of a raptor because they put on some body panels. Maybe it's just the visuals they like.

misses 3 on the tree
I think there is a general reasoning to justify buying four door trucks. Of course a two door raptor does not fit that mold.
Near as I can tell people buy four doors to show how much better they are than other's. A mini van would fit most peoples needs better than a pick em up truck.
Heck if Ford made 6 door trucks people would line up to buy them.
